Ford launches AI assistant in 2026, expanding to vehicles by 2027 with advanced, personalized features.
Ford is rolling out an AI assistant starting in its smartphone app in early 2026, with integration into new and refreshed vehicles by 2027, including electric and gas-powered models.
The AI, built on off-the-shelf large language models hosted on Google Cloud, will use real-time vehicle data to offer personalized, context-aware assistance—such as estimating cargo capacity using photos and vehicle dimensions.
The system is supported by Ford’s new High Performance Compute Center and a software-defined vehicle architecture that consolidates electronics for improved performance and control.
Ford also plans to launch an updated BlueCruise driver assistance system in 2026 and aims for level 3 automation by 2028.
The features were unveiled at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show, marking a major step in Ford’s push toward smarter, more adaptive vehicles.
