ESPN replaced tennis analysts Pam Shriver and Brad Gilbert for the 2026 Australian Open, opting for younger talent.
ESPN has dropped longtime tennis analysts Pam Shriver and Brad Gilbert from its 2026 Australian Open broadcast, ending their decades-long roles with the network.
Shriver, who joined in 1990, and Gilbert, who began in 2004, were part of ESPN’s tennis coverage for years.
The network cited a need to refresh its team and bring in younger talent.
Malika Andrews and Katie George will host the tournament, with Chris McKendry shifting to play-by-play.
Other analysts include John McEnroe, Chris Evert, and Caroline Wozniacki.
Darren Cahill will also not be on-site.
The tournament runs January 18 to February 1.
