Azerbaijan allocates millions to religious groups, including Muslim, Orthodox, Jewish, and Catholic communities, via presidential funds.
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree allocating funds from the President’s Reserve Fund to religious organizations, including 3.5 million manat for the Caucasian Muslim Board and 400,000 manat each to several religious communities such as the Russian Orthodox Church, Mountain Jews, and the Catholic Apostolic Prefecture.
An additional 400,000 manat is designated for a fund supporting non-Islamic groups.
The Ministry of Finance will disburse the funds, reflecting the government’s continued support for religious institutions.
The move coincides with broader diplomatic efforts, including regional cooperation and international partnerships.
