Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd has received approval to build India’s largest 10 GW ingot and wafer manufacturing facility in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, with a ₹6,675 crore investment.
The greenfield project, on 200 acres at the IFFCO Kisan SEZ, will produce key solar components, reduce import dependence, and create around 1,000 direct jobs.
A 200 MW captive green power plant will supply renewable energy to the facility.
The project, approved by the state’s Investment Promotion Board, marks Tata Power’s first manufacturing venture in Andhra Pradesh and strengthens the state’s emergence as a solar manufacturing hub, supported by infrastructure, port access, and policy stability.
