A Queensland court ordered British man Kayn Wells to withdraw his removal request or face jail over alleged neo-Nazi activities and weapons charges.
A Queensland magistrate has ordered British national Kayn Adam Charles Wells, 43, to withdraw his voluntary removal application or face jail, after he was arrested in November over alleged neo-Nazi activities.
Wells, detained since December following visa cancellation, was charged with displaying Nazi symbols and posting extremist content online, and police found weapons with swastika imagery in his possession.
Prosecutors were unaware of his removal request until just before a court hearing, prompting a bid to amend his bail to prevent his departure.
Magistrate Robert Walker ruled Wells must rescind the request or be held in a correctional facility to ensure his presence for prosecution.
The case, adjourned to February 18, reflects Australia’s broader crackdown on extremism, including recent visa cancellations tied to anti-Semitic protests.
Un tribunal de Queensland ordenó al británico Kayn Wells que retirara su solicitud de expulsión o se enfrentaría a la cárcel por presuntas actividades neonazis y cargos de armas.
