Nigeria appoints Olugbemisola Odusote as first female head of Nigerian Law School, effective Jan. 10, 2026.
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Olugbemisola Odusote as the first female Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, effective January 10, 2026.
She succeeds Isa Chiroma and will serve a four-year term.
Odusote, 57, has been deputy director-general and head of the Lagos campus since 2017.
A law graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, she earned a master’s in company and commercial law from the same institution and a doctorate in law from the University of Surrey.
She joined the Nigerian Law School in 2001 and has held various leadership roles, including head of academic department and director of academics.
As DG, she will oversee academic and administrative operations and serve as the main liaison with legal regulatory bodies.
