Michael Guerin named new NFF CEO, effective March 23, 2026, to lead amid major agricultural challenges.
The National Farmers’ Federation has appointed Michael Guerin as its new CEO, effective 23 March 2026, succeeding interim CEO Su McCluskey.
Guerin, a former AgForce Queensland CEO and current interim NSW Farmers leader, brings over two decades of experience in agribusiness, banking, and farming advocacy, including a role at Elders Rural Services.
He will lead the NFF during a period of significant challenges, including environmental regulations, Murray-Darling water buybacks, sustainable farming transitions, renewable energy development, seasonal worker industrial relations changes, and firearms law reforms following a recent terror attack.
The organization is undergoing internal reforms to strengthen governance, membership, and advocacy.
NFF and NSW Farmers leaders praised Guerin’s leadership experience and readiness to address complex issues.
