The Grant Park Music Festival will present a free 10-week series from June 10 to August 15, 2026, in Chicago’s Millennium Park and other venues, celebrating America’s 250th birthday with music by U.S. composers.
Artistic Director Giancarlo Guerrero returns for his second season, featuring works by George Gershwin, Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, and contemporary composers including Jessie Montgomery, Clarice Assad, and Jasmine Barnes, who will premiere a new piece.
The Illinois premiere of Julie Wolfe’s “Liberty Bell” and a July 4 Independence Day Salute conducted by Christopher Bell are highlights.
Singer-songwriter Ben Folds and opera star Karen Slack will also perform.
Concerts are free, held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays, primarily at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, with some at the Harris Theater and South Shore Cultural Center.
Reserved seating and parking discounts are available through memberships starting at $104.
