A 29-year-old man was charged with 16 offences after police found two rifles and multiple 3D-printed firearm parts in a garage during a raid in Barnsley, New South Wales, on September 23.
The search, part of Strike Force Leeville’s investigation into illegal firearm manufacturing, led to the man’s arrest at Silverwater prison on January 6.
He faces 12 counts of possessing digital blueprints for firearms, and two counts each of manufacturing a prohibited firearm and possessing an unauthorized firearm.
A 59-year-old resident was interviewed but not charged.
The suspect was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Burwood Local Court on January 13.
