Starlux Airlines received its first A350-1000 on January 6, 2026, marking a milestone in Taiwan’s aviation expansion.
Starlux Airlines became the first Taiwanese carrier to receive an Airbus A350-1000, with the B-58551 aircraft arriving at Taoyuan International Airport on January 6, 2026, after departing Toulouse, France.
The plane, set to begin service in February, features 350 seats across four classes and a 15,600-kilometer range, supporting Starlux’s expansion into long-haul routes to North America and Europe.
The airline plans to add five more A350-1000s in 2026, bringing its total to 18 ordered.
Currently, Starlux operates 30 aircraft, including A350-900s, A330neos, and A321neos, with existing U.S. non-Asian destinations including Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Ontario, California, and upcoming direct flights to Phoenix.
While Starlux leads in A350-1000 deliveries among Taiwanese airlines, China Airlines and EVA Air have also ordered the aircraft.
