QNX Everywhere, a division of BlackBerry Ltd, has issued over 12,000 free licenses for its QNX Software Development and Hypervisor platforms to support non-commercial use, establishing 100 academic partnerships and engaging 6,000 students globally. Launched at CES 2025, the initiative integrates QNX tools into university curricula, including at MIT and institutions in India, offering free training to nearly 6,000 users. It promotes hands-on learning through student projects in robotics, vehicle systems, and hardware games, while supporting hackathons across North America and Europe. The program aims to address the shortage of embedded systems engineers by fostering open collaboration and innovation in education.
