Mississippi University for Women President Nora R. Miller, the first alum to lead the school, will retire on June 30, 2026, after serving since 2018 and spending 30 years in higher education. She previously held senior administrative roles at the university and worked within the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning on finance and compliance. Miller highlighted progress in nursing and health programs and expressed confidence in the university’s future. The Board of Trustees, with guidance from IHL, will lead the search for her successor, with no details yet released on the transition process.
