Iowa’s 2026 W-4 form doesn’t reflect new federal tax changes, though taxpayers may still benefit.
The 2026 Iowa W-4 form won’t reflect new federal tax changes that took effect in 2026, including tax eliminations on tips, overtime, and qualified car loan interest, and an enhanced senior deduction of up to $6,000.
The Iowa Department of Revenue says the state couldn’t update the form because the federal law was passed after the 2025 legislative session, despite Iowa’s rolling conformity policy.
Iowans may still see lower tax liabilities or higher refunds when filing, but the W-4 form remains unchanged.
More information is available on the department’s website.
