India opens two advanced labs in Delhi to boost air quality monitoring and solar energy standards, reducing reliance on foreign certifications.
India has launched two national scientific facilities at the CSIR-NPL in New Delhi: the world’s second National Environmental Standard Laboratory for accurate air pollution monitoring under Indian conditions, and a top-five global solar cell calibration facility with a 0.35% uncertainty rate.
Inaugurated by Union Minister Jitendra Singh, the labs aim to reduce reliance on foreign certifications, save foreign exchange, speed up calibration, and strengthen environmental governance and renewable energy standards.
The facilities support key national programs and boost investor confidence in India’s clean energy sector.
