Hawaiian Airlines has launched a $600 million, five-year Kahu'ewai Hawai'i Investment Plan to modernize airports in Honolulu, Līhuʻe, Kahului, Kona, and Hilo, upgrade its Airbus A330 fleet starting in 2028 with new interiors, premium seating, and free Starlink Wi-Fi, and expand digital tools with a redesigned app and website. The airline will integrate with Alaska Airlines’ systems and join the oneworld alliance by late April, while residents in Hawai‘i will receive a 50% bonus on rewards for local flights. The plan also includes a new premium lounge in Honolulu, acquisitions of three A330s, and expanded community and sustainability efforts through regenerative tourism, sustainable aviation fuel, and conservation programs.
