Canada to award up to $16.5M for workplace diversity and safety projects starting June 2026.
The Canadian government has launched two funding calls to support projects improving diversity, inclusion, and safety in federally regulated private workplaces.
Through the WORBE and WHVPF programs, up to $16.5 million will be awarded, with individual projects receiving up to $500,000 annually for up to three years starting June 2026.
Projects must address systemic barriers for underrepresented groups and prevent harassment and violence, with outcomes required to be publicly shared.
Proposals are due February 13, 2026, and will be reviewed by independent committees.
Eligible applicants include non-profits, unions, academic institutions, Indigenous organizations, employers’ associations, and incorporated individuals.
