Allcargo Terminals Ltd has doubled the capacity of its container freight station near Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Mumbai to 360,000 TEUs annually, up from 190,000, as part of a three-year plan to boost scale, digitization, and infrastructure.
The expansion includes 25% more warehousing space, dedicated zones for special cargo, and digital upgrades like tag-less operations and smart yard systems.
Located near India’s busiest port, the facility now supports faster turnaround times and improved logistics efficiency, aligning with JNPT’s goal to handle 10 million TEUs annually by 2027.
