Saudi Arabia mandates Saudi hiring in engineering and procurement roles to boost national employment under Vision 2030.
Saudi Arabia has implemented new Saudization rules requiring private companies with five or more employees in 46 engineering roles to hire 30% Saudi nationals by December 31, 2025, with a minimum salary of SR8,000 and certification from the Saudi Council of Engineers.
A separate rule mandates 70% Saudi hiring in 12 procurement roles for firms with three or more workers, effective November 30, 2025.
Both measures include six-month grace periods, and a compliance guide is available online.
The goals are to boost national employment, strengthen local expertise, and support economic diversification under Vision 2030.
