Orleans Parish Traffic Court returns to its Broad Street home in New Orleans after 4+ years of temporary locations due to Hurricane Ida damage.
The Orleans Parish Municipal and Traffic Court is reopening on January 5, 2026, at its original Broad Street location in New Orleans, ending over four years of temporary operations.
The move follows extensive repairs after Hurricane Ida damaged the building in 2021.
The court will operate weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 727 S. Broad Street, with all hearings and filings now held there.
Previous temporary sites faced issues including heating failures and electrical problems.
The reopening marks a key milestone in the city’s recovery.
