Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated on January 5, 2026, that it is premature to discuss leadership transition, calling 2026 a pivotal year for the country’s modernization.
He highlighted 6% economic growth in 2025, with GDP exceeding $300 billion and per capita GDP surpassing $15,000, while emphasizing reforms in taxation, digital transformation, and AI development.
