ADM and Bayer expanding sustainable soy farming in India to 100,000 farmers by 2028.
ADM and Bayer have extended their partnership to expand a sustainable soybean farming program in Maharashtra, India, aiming to reach 100,000 farmers across seven districts by 2028, up from 25,000 served by May 2025.
The initiative, launched in June 2022, will scale cultivation from 35,000 to 200,000 hectares, focusing on sustainable practices aligned with the ProTerra Foundation’s framework.
It emphasizes production management, biodiversity protection, monitoring, crop documentation, and post-harvest pest control.
Bayer provided training via over 58,000 audio calls and field camps on integrated pest management and good agricultural practices, while ADM’s agronomists received training to support farmers.
The companies are leveraging ADM’s network of 50 Krishi Vikas Kendras and global supply chain expertise to improve market access and economic resilience.
