Peel Regional Police are investigating two separate arson incidents in the Peel region on January 4, 2026—one a residential fire in Mississauga and another a vehicle fire in Brampton.
Both occurred overnight, with no injuries reported.
The Mississauga fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. at a home near Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue West, while the Brampton vehicle fire happened around 1:30 a.m. at Queen Street East and Rutherford Road.
Authorities are treating both as arson, but there is no evidence linking them.
Investigations are ongoing, with police reviewing surveillance footage and seeking public assistance.
