The Masked Singer skipped the Red Panda act on Jan. 3, 2026, out of respect for victims of a deadly New Year’s Eve fire in Switzerland.
Due to a fatal New Year's Eve fire in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, which claimed 40 lives and injured 119, The Masked Singer postponed the Red Panda performance from its January 3, 2026, premiere. Before the fire, employees at the Le Constellation bar were handing out champagne bottles with sparklers. The incident happened at 1:30 a.m. In remembrance of the victims, ITV, the show's broadcaster, chose to remove Red Panda's performance, which featured him dressed as a sooty firefighter with a flames and bucket symbol. Other performers included unmasked BBC host Alex Jones, who sang "Pink Pony Club" and talked about her personal victory over a lifelong fear of singing. The episode aired at 6:40 p.m.
