Lagos State police have launched an investigation into multiple allegations of sexual and emotional misconduct against Pastor Chris Okafor, leader of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, following public outcry and social media claims. The probe, ordered by Police Commissioner Olohundare Jimoh, includes plans to question Okafor, alleged victims, and witnesses, despite no formal complaints filed. Accusations include a nine-year relationship with Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, emotional manipulation, financial harm, and coercion, including a reported $10,000 payment to silence her. Ogala later demanded N1 billion in damages. Okafor stepped down on New Year’s Day and apologized publicly during a church service. Additional claims came from his former wife and other women. The investigation is ongoing.
