A Kerala family of four died in a Saudi highway crash post-Umrah; three daughters survive, injured.

Four members of a Kerala family, including a 14-year-old boy, died in a road accident near Medina, Saudi Arabia, while returning from Umrah pilgrimage. The victims were Abdul Jaleel, his mother, wife, and son, who died instantly after their vehicle collided with a truck on a highway between Mecca and Jeddah. Three of their daughters survived but are in critical condition, receiving treatment in Saudi hospitals. The family had traveled on tourist visas, with Abdul Jaleel a longtime resident of Jeddah. Saudi authorities are investigating the crash, and efforts are underway to repatriate the deceased with support from Indian expatriate groups.
