Runners at the Christchurch Parkrun in Ipswich are being urged not to urinate in the park after concerns from Ipswich Borough Council about public behavior near the Westerfield Road gate toilet block.
Organizers emphasize the park is a shared space used by families and dog walkers, and such actions can cause offense and discomfort.
Public toilets are available during events, with additional access expected at the Reg Driver Centre from 8:45 a.m.
The January 3 event was canceled due to icy conditions, as was the New Year’s Day run.
Christchurch Park and Beccles are the only two of Suffolk’s 18 parkruns canceled that day.
