The incident reportedly followed warnings that the pilot was exceeding the 30-knot speed limit, prompting the first officer to apply brakes manually.
The pilot struck the first officer at least four times, causing injuries.

The Taiwan Civil Aviation Administration is also investigating and may impose penalties if safety was compromised.
