Durga Prasad Subedi, husband of Nepal’s interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki, is being flown to New Delhi for advanced medical treatment after showing no improvement at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.
Admitted last Thursday with a urinary tract infection, low sodium levels, and stomach issues, Subedi underwent CT and MRI scans that failed to identify a definitive cause.
Hospital sources confirmed he will be discharged on January 4, 2026, and transferred to India for specialized care, though the specific hospital has not been disclosed.
The family’s decision to seek a second opinion prompted the move.
