PBF Energy announced on January 2, 2026, that its Martinez, California refinery, damaged in a February 2025 fire, will now fully restart in early March 2026, delayed from an earlier year-end 2025 target. The facility, operating at 85,000 to 105,000 barrels per day since mid-2025, is in the commissioning phase with a phased restart underway. CEO Matt Lucey highlighted safety and workforce dedication, thanking local partners. Insurance will cover most repair costs, with $893.5 million in unallocated payments received by year-end 2025. For 2026, PBF projects West Coast throughput of 280,000 to 300,000 barrels per day, with planned turnarounds and forward-looking guidance subject to market, regulatory, and operational risks.
