North Dakota State University’s Germans from Russia Heritage Collection is creating a virtual 360-degree tour of its permanent exhibit, funded by a $9,950 ND250 grant.
The online experience, launching in fall 2026, will let global audiences explore artifacts, oral histories, and documentary clips from the exhibit, which highlights the cultural and agricultural impact of German-Russian immigrants in North Dakota.
The virtual tour, developed by the same team behind the Teddy Roosevelt Presidential Library’s digital platform, will mirror the physical display in the NDSU Library, including the Dakota Memories Corner.
The exhibit’s grand opening coincides with the Germans from Russia convention in Fargo, July 15–18, 2026.
