On January 2, 2026, a Buddha Air ATR 72-500 flight from Kathmandu overshot the runway while landing at Bhadrapur Airport in Nepal, skidding approximately 200 meters into a grassy area near a rivulet. The aircraft, which carried 51 passengers and four crew members, sustained minor damage, but no injuries were reported. All passengers were safely evacuated, and a technical team was dispatched from Kathmandu to inspect the aircraft. The cause of the incident is still being investigated, and airport operations were temporarily disrupted.
