The Dallas Cowboys placed running back Javonte Williams on injured reserve, ending his standout 2025 season after he set career highs with 252 carries, 1,201 rushing yards, and 11 touchdowns in 16 starts.
Williams, 25, sustained shoulder and neck injuries during a December 25 win over Washington.
He had signed a one-year, $3 million deal in March and has 3,595 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns in 70 career games with Denver and Dallas.
The team also placed Malik Davis and T.J. Bass on IR, designated Josh Butler and Phil Mafah to return, signed linebacker Justin Barron from the practice squad, and elevated offensive lineman Nick Leverett.
The Cowboys entered the final week with a 7-8-1 record.
