The 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2026, postponed from January 1 to January 3 due to the death of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, opened at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal.
Inaugurated by Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin, the month-long event features 324 stalls, including 11 from foreign countries, and includes an "Export Enclave" showcasing products from sectors like leather and electronics.
New measures include e-ticketing with QR codes, dedicated BRTC buses, discounted ride-sharing, and a ban on single-use plastics with jute bags provided.
The fair highlights national history through a "Bangladesh Square," offers special zones for seniors, children, and entrepreneurs, and promotes sustainability and inclusivity.
