A GoFundMe raised over £25,000 to cover repatriation and funeral costs for McCabe, who leaves behind a young son.
His family, already grieving recent losses, will hold a requiem Mass on January 3 at Pomeroy’s Church of the Assumption, with repose at the family home the prior evening.
