Born weighing 3.2 kilograms, she was healthy and happy after a rapid labor that left no time for pain relief.
The couple, who moved from Sydney to Marulan in August 2025, described the experience as life-changing and praised the hospital’s supportive staff.
India was one of three babies born at the hospital on New Year’s Day.
The maternity unit, which delivered 329 babies in 2025—up from prior years—has five beds, two birthing suites with water baths, and 20 midwives providing continuity of care through home visits and specialized programs.
Acting unit manager Rebecca Hosey highlighted the team’s dedication and noted that September and October are typically the busiest months, with 61 births recorded in those two months in 2025.
