flag French firm Voltalia starts construction on Uzbekistan’s first integrated solar, wind, and storage project, set for completion in 2027.

French renewable company Voltalia has begun construction on the Artemisya hybrid energy complex in Uzbekistan’s Bukhara region, with the first phase—100MW wind and 100MW/200MWh battery storage—starting in December 2025. The project, set for completion by early 2027, includes 126MW solar, 300MW wind, and 100MW storage. A 25-year power purchase agreement for solar and wind and a 15-year deal for storage were signed in March 2025. The complex supports Uzbekistan’s renewable targets and carbon reduction goals, marking Central Asia’s first integrated solar, wind, and storage cluster.
