Dylan Guenther scored his first NHL hat trick, leading the Utah Mammoth to a 7-2 victory over the New York Islanders in Elmont, N.Y. The Mammoth, who matched their season-high with seven goals on just 20 shots, took control in the second period after Guenther opened the scoring 36 seconds in. Nick Schmaltz added two goals, while Mikhail Sergachev and Clayton Keller also scored. The Islanders allowed their most goals since April 2025, with Calum Ritchie and rookie Matthew Schaefer scoring. Leading scorer Bo Horvat left late with an injury after a collision with Utah’s Sean Durzi. Goalie David Rittich was pulled after allowing five goals on 14 shots; Marcus Hogberg made five saves in his season debut. Karel Vejmelka stopped 20 shots for Utah.
