A ₹148 crore project to develop a 1,000-year-old temple corridor in Chhattisgarh began under a national tourism initiative.
The 1,000-year-old Bhoramdev Temple corridor in Chhattisgarh’s Kawardha has begun development with a Rs 148 crore investment under the Centre’s Swadesh Darshan Yojana, as Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat laid the foundation stone.
The project includes a tribal corridor and a convention centre.
Since November 2024, Chhattisgarh has advanced 219 projects worth Rs 7.83 lakh crore across 26 districts, creating over 150,000 jobs, with nine major projects already operational and 109 in advanced stages, signaling a shift from promises to on-the-ground execution.
