A Chinese team recreates Tang Dynasty clothing using historical research and sustainable materials to revive cultural heritage.

In Xi'an, a team at Xi'an Polytechnic University's Hanfu Research Institute, led by 25-year-old artistic director Wu Junqiang, is reviving traditional Han and Tang dynasties clothing using historical research, natural plant dyes, and domesticated bird feathers to replace protected species. They recreated Tang Dynasty garments such as the ruqun and tricolor figurines, studying ancient murals and artifacts to ensure authenticity, with the goal of connecting modern Chinese identity to cultural heritage through wearable history.
