Nashville police seek public help identifying a red or maroon vehicle involved in a New Year’s Day hit-and-run that killed one and injured another.
Nashville police are seeking the public’s help identifying a red or maroon vehicle, possibly a Ford Mustang, linked to a hit-and-run crash on New Year’s Day at 1:30 a.m. outside Pecker's Bar & Grill on Hermitage Avenue.
The collision killed 23-year-old Afriye Seegars, who was waiting for a rideshare, and critically injured a 24-year-old man.
Authorities say the vehicle fled the scene at high speed and have released a photo of the suspect vehicle.
Residents are urged to contact Metro Nashville Police at 615-862-8600 or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463, where callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a reward.
The investigation is ongoing.
