India cuts aviation fuel prices by 7.3% on Jan. 1, 2026, easing airline costs.
India’s state-owned oil companies cut aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices by 7.3% in Delhi and other major cities, reducing the cost to ₹92,323.02 per kilolitre, reversing most of the rise since October.
The move is expected to ease financial pressure on airlines, where fuel accounts for nearly 40% of operating costs.
Meanwhile, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder rose by ₹111 to ₹1,691.50 in Delhi, reaching its highest level since June 2024.
Domestic LPG prices remained unchanged at ₹853 for a 14.2-kg cylinder, while petrol and diesel prices stayed frozen since a ₹2 per-litre cut in March 2025.
Price revisions follow international benchmarks and exchange rate changes.
