The victim survived at least 15 minutes after being struck by a speeding BMW traveling 100–110 kmph on a 50 kmph stretch near Delhi Cantonment Metro Station. Police allege the accused, Gaganpreet Makkad, delayed medical care by transporting the injured 17 km to Nulife Hospital instead of nearby trauma centers, wasting the critical “golden hour.” An ambulance was refused, and the chargesheet cites possible manipulation of medical records, distant family ties to the hospital, and false claims of ICU admission. The case is under judicial review.
