The Uttarakhand government has approved promotions for nine IPS officers, including Abhinav Kumar, who will become Director General, ahead of the New Year.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also sanctioned around ₹51 crore for development projects, including an industrial shed and storage at Rishikul Ayurvedic Pharmacy in Haridwar, expansion of Ayurvedic services, LED street lighting, garbage collection vehicles, and public service camps under the "Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar" initiative.
Additional funds support trekking route development, CCTV installations in markets, and rural infrastructure improvements across several districts.
