The trial for Trenton Eiben, accused of deliberately crashing his car at 80 mph into another vehicle in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in February 2024, causing a woman to lose her pregnancy, has been delayed until next year.
Authorities allege the head-on collision was intentional.
Eiben also faces separate charges related to inappropriate conduct with two children, ages five to seven, occurring months earlier.
He could face up to 40 years in prison for the crash and an additional three years for the other charges.
