The National Intelligence Service denies claims by Coupang’s interim CEO that it ordered the company to investigate and contact the person behind a 2024 data breach affecting 33 million South Koreans.
The NIS stated it never issued directives, only requested information during the probe and emphasized Coupang retained full control.
