Nikola Jokic injured his left knee in a loss to the Heat, who won their third straight game.

After teammate Spencer Jones unintentionally stepped on Nikola Jokic's foot late in the second quarter of the Denver Nuggets' 147-123 loss to the Miami Heat, Jokic had to leave the game due to a left knee injury. Before having an MRI, Jokic finished with 21 points, five rebounds, and eight assists. The Nuggets are awaiting additional testing. Norman Powell (25 points), Nikola Jovic (22), and Jaime Jaquez Jr. (20 points, 11 assists) led Miami to its third consecutive victory. Taking advantage of Jokic's absence, the Heat defeated the Nuggets 84-60 in the second half to record their first victory over Denver since August 2020.
