Milwaukee will tow cars with five+ unpaid tickets overdue 60+ days starting Jan. 1, 2026, unless fines are paid or a repayment plan is set.
Starting January 1, 2026, Milwaukee will tow over 28,000 vehicles with five or more unpaid parking tickets overdue by 60 days or more, regardless of where they’re parked.
The new ordinance, effective December 31, 2025, requires full payment or court-ordered repayment plans to avoid towing, eliminating a prior loophole.
Owners must pay all fines or face towing fees of $150, $25 daily storage, and a $50 fee for uninsured vehicles.
The city aims to boost parking revenue to $17 million in 2025 and has already collected nearly $90,000 from over 400 resolved citations.
Payment options include online, by phone, in person, or by mail.
Milwaukee remolcará automóviles con más de cinco boletos impagados atrasados de más de 60 días a partir del 1 de enero de 2026, a menos que se paguen multas o se establezca un plan de reembolso.
