Kansas State hired Cory Patterson, a Power 4 veteran, as its new running backs coach.
Kansas State has hired Cory Patterson as its new running backs coach, head coach Collin Klein announced.
Patterson, a St. Louis native with eight years of Power 4 experience, most recently coached at Oklahoma State in 2025, where he helped five running backs gain 1,172 yards and six touchdowns.
He previously developed All-Big Ten standout Chase Brown at Illinois, where he also contributed to a Redbox Bowl berth.
Patterson also served as associate head coach and wide receivers coach at Purdue and led Trinity Catholic High School to a state title appearance.
He holds a finance degree from Lindenwood and began coaching after a brief corporate accounting career.
