A 24-year-old woman pleaded guilty to high-range drink driving in Australia, resulting in a fine, license suspension, and an alcohol interlock requirement.
A 24-year-old Kelso woman, Ashley Joy Allman, pleaded guilty to high-range drink-driving in Bathurst Local Court on November 26, 2025, after a blood alcohol reading of 0.153 was recorded following a stop on Graham Drive.
Police had initially spotted her leaving Paddy’s Hotel in Kelso on October 16, 2025, in a white Ford Ranger after she had consumed six or seven drinks instead of her planned two.
Despite the short distance home, she drove, leading to her arrest and immediate license suspension.
With a prior drink-driving conviction, Magistrate Gemma Slack-Smith emphasized public safety risks.
Allman was sentenced to a one-year community correction order, fined $2,000, banned from driving for 10 months, and required to install an alcohol interlock device for four years.
