Tennessee will launch a public domestic violence offender registry on January 1, 2026, under Savanna’s Law, named after deputy Savanna Puckett, killed in 2022 by an ex-partner with a history of domestic violence.
The registry, managed by the TBI, will list repeat offenders convicted of domestic assault after January 1, 2026, only if the victim consents.
It aims to increase public safety and awareness, particularly in high-risk areas like Memphis, and will include offender details and photos.
A $100 fee will fund family violence services.
Other new laws include mandatory bicyclist hand signal education on driver’s exams, expanded chiropractic care for animals, and human trafficking training for tattoo artists.
